Abstract/Brief Description: |
Representation theory of split reductive algebraic groups in positive characteristic is somewhat parallel to the BGG category of representations of complex semisimple Lie algebras. But in the former situation the character formulas for simple modules are still unknown. I will sketch the main points in our current state of knowledge. I will then indicate how extensions between integral weyl modules enter the picture, for example in a new interpretation of Jantzen’s sum formula and in proving Andersen’s tilting sum formula.
