“Ergodic Control of Diffusion Processes"

 We address the ergodic or long-run average cost control of diffusion processes.  We discuss results concerning existence and characterization of optimal controls for the non-degenerate case.  We also describe the  degenerate case.  In conclusion, some open problems are discussed.
