About MA 223, Functional Analysis, which I have taught many times and am teaching in the August semester of 2018:

  • My favourite book is the one by John B. Conway. It is called A Course in Functional Analysis. This is published by Springer and has an Indian edition. There are numerous other good books. Some of them are Rajendra Bhatia, Notes on Functional Analysis, Hindustan Book Agency, Casper Goffman and George Pedrick, First Course in Functional Analysis, Prentice Hall of India and S. Kesavan, Functional Analysis, Hindustan Book Agency.
