A workshop on "Nonlinear Integrable Systems and their Applications" will be held at the Centre for Nonlinear Dynamics, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli during February 24 - March 01, 2014. This meeting is being organized as one of the five activities under the yearlong programme of National Mathematics Initiative (NMI) by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore on Integrable Systems.

The topics covered will include integrability, solitons, finite dimensional integrable systems, discrete systems, computational methods, applications in diverse fields such as optics, Bose-Einstein condensates, spin systems, magnetism, fluid dynamics, etc. Lectures will be given by experts drawn both from India and abroad. Participants (if they wish) will have an opportunity of presenting their works in short talks/posters

Young research students/scholars and faculty members working in the field of nonlinear dynamics and related areas are encouraged to participate in the workshop. Support for travel and living will be provided for needy participants as per norms.
