|
We define maximal and minimal curves
over finite fields. We describe the inter-relationship that exists between
maximal and minimal curves, when these curves are considered over all finite
extensions of the base field. We end by describing some explicite
results we have obtained for certain hyperelliptic curves, which are maximal and minimal, in the context of certain questions of interest in the literature. |
