Title

:

Stable limit representation theory of Kac-Moody algebras
Abstract :

Kac-Moody algebras are natural generalizations of finite dimensional complex semisimple Lie algebras. They are typically infinite dimensional, but their structure and representation theory resembles that of the classical case.

A distinguished subclass, the so-called {\em affine Kac-Moody algebras} are widely studied due to their important applications (especially in physics). The focus of my talk will be on families of non-affine Kac-Moody algebras. While these are much harder to understand as individual Lie algebras, one can consider entire families of them and study how different aspects of representations behave ``in the limit''. Specifically, I'll talk about decompositions of tensor products and about ``branching multiplicities''.
