International Conference on Stochastic Processes and Applications

(July 16 - 21, 2007)


The IISc Mathematics Initiative (IMI), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore will be organizing an international conference on "Stochastic Processes and Applications" from July 16 - 21, 2007.

This international conference is aimed at bringing together researchers and practitioners across the globe in the academia and industry working on various aspects on Stochastic Processes. We will mainly focus on three important areas of applications: quantitative finance, Communication networks and computational neuroscience.

We will invite leading experts in these areas to give talks on the latest development in these fields. There would be 100 participants: 30 from abroad, 50 from outside and 20 local participants. There will be 4 sessions. Two in the morning and two in the afternoon.

A maximum of 10 seats will be reserved for scientists from organizations, which finance the theme programme.

Students and faculty from IISc who desire to participate in the theme programme will need to register.
