- After 33 volumes, Statistical Methodology will be discontinued as of 31st December 2016. At this point the possibility to submit manuscripts has been suspended. We encourage authors to visit Elsevier's Journal Finder Tool ( http://journalfinder.elsevier.com ) to identify other potential journals for their work.
Published continuously from 2004, Statistical Methodology provided a forum for original, high-quality articles on contemporary statistical theory as well as significant applications. The journal focused on traditional areas such as statistical inference, multivariate analysis, sampling theory, regression analysis, re-sampling methods, time series, nonparametric statistics, etc., also giving special emphasis to established as well as emerging applied areas.
We would like to thank all the authors, referees, editors and readers for their hard work, interest and support for the journal over the years. We would like to extend special thanks to Prof. Jogesh Babu, Editor-in-Chief of the journal since its first publication, and without whom it would not have been possible to maintain the journal's high standards, both in the efficiency of the editorial process and in the quality of the published scientific content. We would also like to thank the International Indian Statistical Association for their affiliation to the journal. Published papers will remain available on ScienceDirect.
