Maximal regularity for second order evolution equations |

The concept of L^{p} maximal regularity for the second order problem of the type
u'' + Bu' + Au = f will be introduced. An abstract characterisation for maximal regularity
will be obtained and L^{p} maximal regularity proven for a model problem.
The abstract results obtained will be applied to prove existence,
uniqueness and regularity of solutions of quasilinear wave equations.
