Let F be a family of circles in the complex
plane whose union is a domain. If a smooth function g has a harmonic extension from each of the circles in F, then we prove that g itself is a harmonic function provided an additional assumption is satisfied. This talk will be essentially self contained and will be accessible to most students. |
